1. Adopt minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 10th May 2022

2. Chairman’s report of Parish Council activity in 2022/23

  • Farewell to Councillors Paul Smith and Ed Bates, clerk Jackie Grainger and Chairman Kev Smith – thanks to all for their hard work and support.
  • Welcome to Councillor Deborah Langmaid and clerk Tony Shaw.
  • The year has seen improvements around the village, including;

           a) Traffic signage on the A46.
           b) A volunteer litter pick took place.
           c) Entered into a 3-year contract for grass cutting - great service from A J Williams.
           d) The purchase of new bins for the Rambler’s car park - due to be installed soon.
           e) The purchase of new notice boards, which residents can utilise to advertise local events and services - due to be installed soon.

  • The Play area has had significant investment and improvement with additional equipment installed, which has been a great benefit to the little ones in the village.
  • Continued support from County Councillor Tom Smith, addressing surface water issues, highways issues, grit bin issues. His support is greatly appreciated by the Parish Council.
  • Continued support from District Councillor Tom Regis, who helps with fly-tipping issues, funding opportunities, precept questions and our newly acquired Charity - The Playing Field. • The Village Hall Committee have gifted the Playing Field, part of the original charity, to the Parish Council, who will continue to maintain, enhance and manage the space.
  • A Nettleton Newsletter has been published, thanks to volunteer Steve Barrett. Content from villagers for forthcoming editions is welcomed.
