Minutes of the Meeting of Tuesday 15th February 2022
Nettleton Village Hall at 7.30pm
Present: Cllrs. K. Smith (Chair), J. Connolly (Vice-Chair), Cllrs. A. Clark & A. O’Reilly. In attendance J. Grainger – Clerk & RFO. Cllr. T. Smith (LCC).
12.22 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Cllrs. P. Smith & E. Bates, Cllr. T. Regis (WLDC) – accepted.
13.22 TO RECEIVE COUNCILLORS’ DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011 – Cllr. J. Connolly – VH Trustee & PC representative.
14.22 TO APPROVE AS A CORRECT RECORD THE NOTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL HELD 4TH JANUARY 2021. These were signed and accepted as a true record.
15.22 CLERK REPORT ON MATTERS OUTSTANDING FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
The clerk reported that she is currently waiting for 2 quotations for the grass cutting contract. The new waste bin at the play area has been installed. Following Jubilee celebration enquiries, the clerk reported that no local events have been planned at this time. The clerk reported that CIL payments are due in April and October each year, with an email enquiry going to WLDC Planning Customer Services for further information.
16.22 FINANCE: ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT FEBRUARY 2022.
It was proposed, seconded and Resolved: That orders for payment made to the sum of £1087.25, income of £0.66 (interest). Proposed Cllr. A. O’Reilly, seconded Cllr. J. Connolly.
17.22 TO DISCUSS GRASS CUTTING QUOTES 2022/23
1 quotation has been received at present, with 2 more due before the end of February. To be reported back at the next meeting.
18.22 PLANNING APPLICATIONS & DECISIONS
144286 - Councillors have no objection in relation to this application.
19.22 TO RECEIVE UPDATE FROM THE VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE
The Village Hall are currently waiting for the Charity Commission to update the paperwork in relation to the Parish Council taking responsibility for the Playing Area. Update due next meeting.
20.22 TO DISCUSS PLAY AREA REPAIRS MAINTENANCE AND UPGRADE.
A list of repairs and replacements items identified in December was discussed. It was proposed to discuss the work for a quotation from the local handyman.
21.22 COUNTY COUNCILLOR UPDATE
Cllr. Smith discussed the free labour for groundwork offered by County each winter. Any projects identified for 2023 to be forwarded, when identified.
