Notes of the Meeting of Tuesday 8th September 2020
Held online 7.30pm
Present: Cllrs. J. Connolly, P. Dales, A. Clark. In attendance J. Grainger – Clerk & RFO.
21.20 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

22.20 TO RECEIVE COUNCILLORS’ DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011
Non received.
23.20 TO APPROVE AS A CORRECT RECORD THE NOTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL HELD ON 7th July 2020.
These were signed and accepted as a true record.
24.20 CLERK REPORT
A good handover was received from the previous clerk, with ongoing support available for any queries.
25.20 TO AUTHORISE THE SIGNING OF ORDERS FOR PAYMENT AND TO NOTE INCOME FOR JULY & AUGUST 2020.
It was proposed, seconded and Resolved: That orders for payment made to the sum of £963.85, income of £216.85 (refund). Discussion were also held regarding the correspondence received from the Natwest, offering a free switching service with cash incentive. The clerk to confirm information regarding switching both accounts, and report back to all. It was proposed and seconded that switching would be accepted. Resolved.
26.20 TO REVIEW COVID CONTINGENCY POLICY
It was proposed and seconded to extend the policy until January 2021, where the situation would be reviewed again. Resolved that the policy be extended.
27.20 TO DISCUSS EQUIPMENT FOR CLERK
Councillor’s discussed the purchase of new laptop and printer for the clerk. It was proposed and seconded that the clerk purchase new equipment as required. Resolved.
28.20 PLANNING APPLICATIONS & DECISIONS
None at present.
29.20 CORRESPONDENCE
The clerk circulated an update from LRSP regarding the A46 speed reduction scheme. Additionally the clerk wrote to several residents regarding hedge & verge maintenance in the village, which has gained a good response, with more maintenance expected in September. A letter is to be sent to the Village Hall, regarding the playing field, confirming no further progress has been made at present.
