1/2307    Declarations of Interest:
a)    To record declarations of interest by any member in respect of the agenda items listed below.  Members should identify the agenda item and type of interest being declared.

2/2307    To receive any apologies sent to the Clerk from Members not able to attend the meeting.
None.

3/2307    To adopt the minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 6th July 2023.
RESOLVED: The minutes were adopted and signed by the Chair.

4/2307    Open Forum:
Members of the public can ask questions or make short statements to the council.
Two members of the public expressed an interest in joining the parish council. Responses were provided to a range of questions covering what the parish council does, how it operates and what level of commitment is required. It was noted that the parish council very much welcomes new members.

5/2307    To receive updates from District and/or County Councillors.
County Cllr Smith provided a verbal report:
a)    Drainage work has been completed on Normanby Road, adjacent to Dale View. This has addressed a long-standing problem.
b)    West Lindsey District Council have funding available for a wide range of projects. Further info available from the Council.

6/2307    Finance:
a)    To receive a financial summary from the Clerk.
The Clerk explained that NatWest have not changed the correspondence address on the council’s bank account yet, so it’s currently not possible to report on individual account balances. The Clerk did provide a year-to-date expenditure summary which shows expenditure of £4,226 against a budget of £14,835.

b)    To approve a Schedule of Payments for invoices received since the last meeting.

c)    To note increase in the charge for maintenance of the Tower Clock to £170+VAT for 2023. 
Clock Tower annual maintenance is not due till the Autumn but council noted an acceptable increase in the fee from 2022.

8/2307    To review the areas covered by the Grass Cutting Contract and resolve any requested changes.
General discussion around the scope of the contract and the intention to remove the Village Hall grass at the next annual review. 
RESOLVED: Clerk to ask the grass contractor for a price to trim low hanging trees on the verge adjacent to the A46, to facilitate cutting of the grass beneath.

To consider passing a resolution in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, that public and press be excluded from the meeting for the matters set out below on the grounds that it could involve the likely disclosure of private and confidential information.
